YoungStar 101 for Track 4 Directors

In this small group learning cohort for Track 4 Directors, we will unpack the YoungStar School-Age criteria, evaluation and coaching process as it relates specifically to the setting of Summer Day Camp. We will share and discuss tools used as part of the YoungStar process including the Developmentally Appropriate Environment (DAE) checklist, the YoungStar School-Age Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)and the creative ways you can use these to enhance the camp experience. The School-Age Curricular Framework will be covered as best practice for school-age programs with real programmatic examples and resource sharing, taking into consideration the unique settings in which Day Camps often run. We will also address family engagement and share practical ways to level up your communication game.

This cohort runs for 3 sessions (2/27, 3/5 and 3/12).
